My Kingdom for a House

So right now I have two houses in SL.  The first is on a mainland beach, where I've been for years.  It's small, it's relatively private, and I couldn't imagine giving it up.  Over the years, I've had a number of houses there that I've absolutely loved, but most don't last very long.  I take forever to decorate and once I'm done I like it tear it all down and start again. 

Then Aerin and I share a skybox in the same sim.  I think we're the only two non-German-speaking people around, but it works for us, everyone is nice, and our landlord is very sweet.  I've been cycling through houses there too, and right now I'm decorating for spring and summer.  Before I tore down my winter build, however, I took some pictures.  So first up are pictures from the winter version of the skybox, complete with ice rink and skating bears.  Don't judge me.

Most of the trees are from Alirium.  The bears are from Sway's.  The house had been up for a while, and I took pictures of the inside as well before tearing it down.  This is one of my favorite houses, from Atelier Ylanis.  I included some photographs from Julia Margaret Cameron, as well as a large painting of Gertrude Stein.  I kind of like the idea of Stein looking down over the goings-on in my house.  Right now I'm decorating my new house and hope to finish that as soon as I get my ass in gear.

Back From the Ether

Right, so it's been like 15 years since I've posted, but now I'm back with some pictures and some fashion.  I'm going to post some outfits over the next couple of days, as well as pics I took of my house redesigns.  And then I'm going to remember that I actually have a blog and should update it more than once a millennium.  Here we go!

This first picture was taken right outside of Funky Junk, in the gazebo they have out for this week's Spruce Up Your Space.  My kid's favorite flower is lilac, and this reminded me of her.  Then, of course, she came into the room, stole some chocolate, my last bottle of water, and said I had horrible taste in fashion.  Remind me why we let first graders out of their rooms at night?
